We tested the three cards on two different systems. (K-6 266 and Pentium-II 450) We ranked the order of the performance (considering both image quality and frame rate) between the three cards for various games.
Results from the K-6 266 performance:
Results from the Pentium-II 450 performance:
Our nifty color-coded rankings should allow you to determine which card we preferred on each system. While testing the three cards on the AMD 266, we prefer the Diamond Fusion. Users with high-end systems such as a Pentium-II 450 will find that the Velocity 4400 TNT card is better suited for their needs.
Performance Pen. 450: The Velocity 4400 TNT card is amazing with a high ended computer. Madden 99 ran smoothly at 1078x760 using the Direct 3D mode. Don't get me wrong, the Diamond Fusion and PA 2000 Voodoo 2 worked fine with Madden, it's just that the Velocity 4400 was overwhelmingly the best out of the three. The Velocity 4400 features 32 bit color, which helps the card's image quality outduel the two other cards. We did not have any trouble with framerate problems with the Pentium-II 450. All the games we tried out ran almost flawlessly if not absolutely perfectly. It's just that the Velocity 4400 seemed to have a slight edge over the Diamond Fusion card. © 1998-2006 Sports Gaming Network. Entire legal statement. Feedback
