    Cons
  • Poor bundle

Value of each card:
The Monster Funsion 16MB PCI Banshee card goes around $130 at the lowest. If you count the $30 mail in rebate, it comes to $100. The STB Velocity 4400 goes for as low as $150. (EB World) The PA 2000 Voodoo 2 card's price given to us was $200 although I believe the price is probably around $150. You can't go wrong with either the STB Velocity 4400 or the Monster Funsion. I would recommend the PA 2000 Voodoo 2 card; however, $150 is a little too steep especially since there is the Maxis Gamer 2 Voodoo 2 12MB card which sells for $100 after rebates.

The Monster Funsion Banshee is a slightly improved Voodoo 2 card except for a few drawbacks which includes the dual texture units. However, as mentioned before, the dual texture unit are not a factor in sports games. Prospective buyers of the STB Velocity 4400 card should note that only having a high-end system such as a Pentium-II 400 MHZ or faster would fully take advantage of the TNT card. The Velocity 4400 also is available in an AGP format which slightly increases the performance of your computer in graphical games.

After playing around and comparing game performance on AOpen's PA 2000 12MB Voodoo 2, STB's Velocity 4400 and the Diamond Fusion, I came up with a conclusion: Consumers who own a Pentium-II 400 or faster computer should not be disappointed with the performance of the Velocity 4400. STB's Velocity 4400 supports resolutions of up to 1900x1280! However don't except games to be playable at that resolution. The PA 2000 Voodoo 2 card is great for people who own Pentium 233-400mhz computers.
