Knockout Kings 2000 (PSX) Preview
EA Sports is bringing the best-selling Playstation boxing game to the Nintendo 64.
Even though last year's game was disappointing to some boxing gamers, it was only one of two boxing titles (Contender by Sony is the other) on the Playstation. Midway is planning on releasing a boxing title for the Playstation, Nintendo 64 and also Dreamcast at the launch of the Dreamcast here stateside.
From the screen shots of Knockout Kings 2000 for Nintendo 64, the game looks like it will deliver stunning graphics as usual in an EA Sports title. Knockout Kings 2000 will have over 25 real boxers on the Nintendo 64, and over 50 on the Playstation. The list of boxers include the following:
The game will also have a new quick start option. Also making its first
appearance in the Knockout Kings series is the ability to re-enact classic battles in the new Great Fights mode. Similiar to scenario mode as known to sports gamers.
EA will also be including a create a fighter feature and let gamers take their fighter up through the ranks.
We will bring you more info as it comes. From the little info we got, it sounds like EA will have a real winner with Knockout Kings 2000.
