Grand Prix Legends InterviewSGN: 15. About the only consistent complaint we've seen on the newsgroups are complaints about "scratchiness" or "pops" in the sound. Some people have gone so far as to unpack the sound files from the game and they claim that the files are definitely flawed (i.e. it's not a driver issue for the sound cards or anything). Is there a possibility of a cleaned-up sound set being released? Matt: This is not evident on all machines. We're still looking into it. SGN: 16. Will there be anything similar to NROS for GPL? Matt: We have no definite plans for anything like that. SGN: 17. What other racing sims are in the cards? I would love to see Papyrus do a modern F1 sim, and I'd give my last penny for a Sprint Car sim. Matt: Our next-generation NASCAR Racing product is well underway and is set for release in 1999. We're not ready to discuss any products beyond that just yet. SGN: 18. Finally, your choice: any car, any era: what do you choose? Matt:
If you mean race cars - the Williams-Renault FW15 from 1993 (the last year that
active suspension and "driver aids" were allowed in F1). Not that I'd have a
clue what to do with it, but I'd sure like to try and sort it out. :-)
