Electronic Arts announces that it will publish Street Sk8er on the PlayStation. Street Sk8er is the first dedicated skateboarding title for the PlayStation and delivers authentic tricks, high-speed action and over the top excitement. The game is set in a variety of rich 3-D street and park-style environments and features a selection of unique skateboarders with distinctly different skills and abilities. Street Sk8er features fast paced, arcade-style gameplay that lets players take authentic skateboard moves to all new heights in two challenging modes: 1) Street Tour features courses in LA, NY and Tokyo. Race against the clock performing tricks for points. Progress to pick up attributes and new tricks, unlock hidden routes, characters and custom skateboards and 2) Free Skate allows players to turn off the clock to explore course and perfect tricks.

Players can choose from 20 custom skateboard decks and attempt more than 200 moves and combinations. More over, skaters can play in either day or night mode. The game will feature a soundtrack comprised of cool skateboard tracks from Epitaph and Capitol record artists.
