NHL Championship 2000 (PC,PSX) PreviewRelease Date: September 1999 Background Info
The game will be officially licensed by the NHL and the NHLPA. All 28 Real NHL teams, including the expansion Atlanta Thrashers, will be in the game. There will also be 18 international teams, which includes the North American and the World All-Star teams.
As for graphics, there will be authentic 3-D arenas and authentic detailed uniforms, including the 3rd jerseys. Fox claims the game will be fast and fluid with their 3-D engine. There will be tons of different animations, including fake shots, devastating checks and more. Authentic player moves such as wrist shots, slap shots, and amazing goalie saves will also be featured in the game.
As you might guess, FOX will be aiming towards the total FOX experience.

Play-by-play and Pre-Game Analysis guys John Davidson
and Kenny Albert will be in NHL Championship 2000. Fox will also use a revolutionary FOX Trax Puck Positioning System. The system will allow users to see every pass and shot on goal with ease.
Users will be able to have full control of their rosters. Substituting, altering lines, trading, creating and editing players will all be in the game. There will be complete statistical tracking throughout the season. Fox added that there are in-depth player attributes. NHL Championship 2000 will allow players to adjust coaching strategies. The game will support up to 10 players at once. Modes of play include: Exhibition, Real NHL Season, Playoffs, Championship, World Tournament. Last of all, FOX mentioned that there will be an in-depth fighting system. Hopefully, they won't focus too much on fighting and will instead spend their time with tweaking the gameplay.
