WWF Smackdown is based on the world-renowned Toukon Retsuden wrestling engine. The game features a completely up-to-date lineup of painstakingly-crafted Superstar athletes, highly-detailed ring and backstage environments. THQ is claiming that WWF Smackdown features the best wrestling and grappling system ever on PlayStation. Only time will tell.

The game will feature all of your favorite wrestlers' signature move, taunts and mannerisms. That means the most electrifying move in sports entertainment will be in the game as well as the People's Eyebrow.

There will be a full season mode, including tag team, rivalries, backstage storylines, TV and Pay-Per-View events. Unsurpassed graphics and effects, including smooth skin textures and realistic lighting and shadows. With the full season mode and the graphics, WWF Smackdown is sure to be a big hit.

A full create-a-wrestler mode with adjustable height and weight, as well as a detailed move selection are featured in the game. There will also be a personality and mentality variables. The backstage areas will even be more advance than WCW Mayhem's backstage feature. You will be able to roam around in the hallways and enter the boiler rooms, loading docks, parking lots, and other places to brawl behind-the-scenes!

All the authentic theme music for all of the World Wrestling Federation's top superstars will be in the game. The game is due out February of next year. We will bring you more as news break on the game.
