Top PC Football Game of the Year
- Madden 2002: Only with the latest patch from EA is this game a good one. Straight out of the box, the horrible secondary AI makes for an unrealistic passing game. However, with the patch, the gameplay is much improved and provides for a good football experience.
- Runner-up: Front Office Football: The College Years: "The College Years is a must-buy for recruiting nuts. If recruiting is your cup of tea, I can't envision a game getting any better than this. Although, if you are a hard-core sim fan that wants to play the role of 'offensive or defensive coordinator' then I would suggest you look at another Front Office Football game, FOF 2. Jim Gindin has put out another solid text-based sim game. With the supply of PC sports games becoming less and less, it is very nice to see a game of this caliber hit the market." -- Tim Martin
Top PC Soccer Game of the Year
- Championship Manager 01/02: "This is the third yearly 'update' since the release of Championship Manager 3 a few years ago and just like CM 99/00 and CM 00/01, this year's incarnation stands as a magnificent game in it's own right. New additions such as a 'Fog of War' mode and many more opportunities for interaction with the board, your players and the media further heighten the unparalleled sense of immersion which will have you glued to your monitor till the wee hours trying desperately to get Carlisle into the Division 3 playoffs. Easily the best sports game released on the PC this year, and a strong contender for the best sports game of 2001, period." -- Lavan Chandran
Top PC Baseball Game of the Year
- High Heat 2002 : Again, with a patch, the game becomes playable. However, the game is still quite buggy but does give you a good baseball simulation.
Top PC Racing Game of the Year
- NASCAR 4: "If you're a NASCAR fan who races mainly online, N4 is the best there is right now." -- Scott Moore
- Runner-up : F1 2001
