Konami of America Inc. announced that NBA Starting Five, the company's latest hoops game, will land on the PlayStation® 2 computer entertainment system and Xbox™ video game console from Microsoft in Fall 2002.

Endorsed by NBA all-star Tracy McGrady of the Orlando Magic, NBA Starting Five allows players to live the entire NBA experience with eye-popping graphics, intelligent AI and engaging gameplay modes, including: Franchise Mode, Create-a Player, and Season Play. Players can build their dream franchise as virtual General Managers and player agents interact in a realistic manner to recreate the challenges of running a real-life team. Players can also dive into engaging coaching options to set the team's style by directing offensive and defensive tactics that counter the opponent's game plan.
