Fox Sports' only basketball title last year was an offering for the Nintendo 64, which turned out to be a real disappointment. This year, they signed on Radical Entertainment, makers of the famous Powerplay series, to work on their basketball and hockey titles.

The game will have 31 NBA teams, and over 400 actual NBA players with realistic faces. NBA Basketball 2000 features authentic 3-D arenas and uniforms, including the second road jerseys NBA teams use.

The fluid AL utilizes a cutting edge 3-D engine. Fox says there will be all-new motion captured moves, but needless to say, this will be their first basketball game on the PC, so everything should be new. The game will have hundreds of different animations. NBA Basketball 2000 will also have reverse dunks, fade-away jump shots, alley-oops and all the other basketball moves.

Fox will be taken a 'Fox Attitude' approach to the game. The game will use a familiar FOX Sports presentation style. The play-by-play and pre-game analysis will be coming from FOX Sports announcers Greg Papa and Doc Rivers. There will also be a sports ticker during the gameplay. Fox Basketball 2000 is also going to have exclusive FOX-Scope replays.

Users will have full roster control in the game. They will be able to substitute (of course!) and trade players. There will be complete statistical tracking throughout the season. The game will also keep track of user stats, similar to the feature in the EA NBA Live Series. Fox also said there will be an innovative create a player feature, whatever that means. Players will also be able to edit their created players, and their accessories, such as knee pads and wrist bands.

The game will feature informative team profiles, showing the strengths and weaknesses of each team. There will also be an exclusive rebound indicator. We've heard this feature will display a target on the court, showing where the rebound should land.

The game will support up to 10 individual players at the same time. Fox NBA Basketball 2000 will have all the normal gameplay modes: season, playoffs, championships. It will also include a practice mode. Users will be able to play full or partial seasons. Radical Entertainment also has included a mulitple user season feature. That's all folks!
