The 3DO Company announced that its award-winning baseball game series High Heat(tm) Major League Baseball(r) 2004 for the PC, PlayStation(r)2 computer entertainment system, and the Game Boy(r) Advance handheld video game system, is due to ship in spring of 2003. For the first time, High Heat will also be available on the Xbox(tm) video game system from Microsoft and the Nintendo GameCube(tm) system this spring.

"With a completely rebuilt graphics engine, new motion captured player animations, and new Career and Franchise modes, High Heat should have it all this year," said Trip Hawkins, chief executive officer of The 3DO Company. "Diamondbacks(tm) pitcher Curt Schilling, the official High Heat spokesperson, has brought us invaluable information about the subtle physics of pitching. With his input, we are bringing on-the-field gameplay to a new level and offering 27 individual pitch types."
